I'd like to thank M-Audio for the opportunity to test this great synth. I was one of the original beta testers for Venom and have about 6 sounds on the factory preset ROM.

My background mostly concentrated on designing sound fx and patches for different companies using samples, but when I was offered the chance to test Venom it got me interested in synths again. The more I used it the more amazed I was at its capabilities. At one point I told M-Audio that I wanted a credit card reader in mine because I was going to CHARGE people to listen to it! ;)

Not all of these patches are great (like any patch collection), and none are associated with any patterns or multis, etc., and there are a couple that might sound similar as I was modifying and saving my experiments as I went along (mostly in raybank1). These singles are simply a collection of sounds I created as I was learning.

Some are simple, some are dramatic, some are long evolving textures, some humorous, some atmospheric, some just experimental noises, while others are more useful for sound fx design, (even a slight homage to "Forbidden Planet"). Hopefully these with show off a different side to this synth, as it is a great sound design tool!

Note: You use these sounds at your own risk and make sure you BACKUP YOUR OWN MODIFIED SOUNDS before installing. WATCH THE VOLUME when you load these up: Some of the sounds can jump out at you!
